Olives for dinner?
Over a Bloody Mary at Surly Girl Saloon (so technically a Surly Mary), the conversation turned to how surprisingly meaty green olives are. Unlike black olives, these guys are so substantial you start to feel full after eating just a few. Especially if they're stuffed with something delcious, like blue cheese. It got me thinking about whether any of the fancy olive appetizers popping up on men...See More

Behold the ZMB at Zuppa

Schmidt's first opened as a meat ...See More

I've been working my way through a list of iconic Columbus dishes I've never tried and happened to drive by one of the places on my list -- Krema Nut Company factory store on Goodale, home of the Buckeye sandwich made with their own peanut butter and Nutella -- around lunchtime. So I stopped in and orde...See More

Detox lunch at Market 65
Sometimes (like, say, after a straight week of trying out s'mores-inspired desserts around the city) I just can't even think about eating one more fried thing/piece of bread/hunk of meat. All I want is vegetables. And at those times, I head straight to Market 65. Luckily, the nifty newish salad spot is very close to my office, so it also makes for a nice, quick lunch option. I like to make m...See More
