Weekend eats
We sent our November issue of Crave to the printer last week, so that means I get a little bit of a break on the eating-out front. There was nowhere I necessarily HAD to eat this weekend for work purposes, so instead I went for whatever I was craving. Which happened to be breakfast and sushi. Oh, and crepes. Here's a look at what I ate this weekend: KATALINA'S CAFE CORNER Big 'Ol Omelet: Mad...See More
DeepWood's winter menu
Many years ago, I had a skate wing at a French brasserie in Knoxville. It was a great evening with great friends, and my memories of that dish in particular are very vivid and very fond. I'm prett...See More

Slide into a booth and take a look at the wallet-friend...See More

Winter Squash Soup at Latitude 41
I've got a cold. My usual cold-curing meal is the Spicy Pork Noodles soup from Ying's Teahouse, but since that's way up in Clintonville and I didn't want to venture far from my downtown office today, I opted for the best soup I could think of--Latitude 41's Winter Squash Soup. The deep orange soup is made with local squash and pumpkin, some chived whipped cream and toasted pumpkin seeds. It's...See More
